Paul Strauss the Washington DC Shadow Senator was arrested for drunk driving on October 1, 2008.

Few details have been released about the arrest.

Strauss was charged with driving under the influence after being stopped on Calvert Street NW.

Strauss is seeking a third six year term in the November election

Woodstock DUI Lawyer Bob Keefer: Even Prosecutors get charged with DWI DUI

Mike Ward was commonwealth’s attorney for Marshall and Calloway Counties in Kentucky.

Ward resigned that position as part of his resolution of his second DUI DWI arrest this year.

Ward will serve 7 days in jail, undergo rehab and have his license suspended for one year.

I am sure Ward deserves that deal; however, I hope it is open to regular citizens as well.

Rockingham County DUI Lawyer Bob Keefer: Even John Daly gets arrested for abusing alcohol.

John Daly got arrested in Winston Salem North Carolina for drunk in public outside a Hooters Restaurant.

Daly was treated by emergency personnel due to his apparent extreme intoxication.

Daly refused to go to the hospital so police held him at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center for 24 hours until he sobered up.

Timberville DUI DWI Virginia Lawyer Bob Keefer: Sometimes the police abuse citizens.

Michael Mineo, a 24 year old Brooklyn NY man, is recovering from physical injuries received during his arrest for possession of marijuana. Mineo’s attorney maintains that Mineo was seen smoking a marijuana joint by police.

Mineo fled before being tackled and allegedly beaten with police standing on his neck.

Police allegedly then removed his pants and inserted a radio antenna into Mineo’s rectum.

If this happened, such abuse by police cannot be tolerated in our society.

Never, never, never run from police or you may suffer dire consequence.

Kenny “The Snake” Stabler starred at as quarterback atAlabama and then played for the Oakland Raiders, the Houston Oilers and the New Orleans Saints.

Stabler has been arrested for driving under the influence three times.

He pleaded no contest in Escambia County, Florida in 1995, and pleaded guilty to DUI in Orange

Beach in 2001.

Most recently he was arrested in Robertsdale near his hometown of Foley on June 8, 2008.

Kenny was acquitted in October, 2008 on this charge through the efforts of fellow NCDD member Mark Polson.

Mark Polson is an extremely qualified Alabama trial lawyer specializing in DUI defense. Kenny chose his counsel well.

The officer stopped Kenny because he failed to move over as he passed the officer with another stopped motorist at roadside.

The video showed no speeding, weaving and a prompt stop in a safe matter when emergency lights were activated.

Harrisonburg DUI DWI Virginia Lawyer Bob Keefer: Even Springfield Police Officers get charged with DWI DUI

Joseph Motte, a Springfield police officer has been charged with six charges out of an alleged drunk driving incident on October 22, 208.Officer Motte allegedly did not stop after he struck a tractor trailer.

Officer Motte subsequently ran off the road.

Authorities found a whiskey bottle and beer cans in his vehicle.

Officer Motte was placed on paid leave pending the resolution of his charges.

Only a felony conviction would insure that Officer Motte, a ten year veteran would lose his job.

Officer Motte was charged with possessing two firearms while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, DWI, and two charges of imprudent driving.

I am glad Officer Motte is keeping his taxpayer funded job while his charges are resolved; I only hope that regular citizens are given the same option of keeping their pay while charges are resolved.
