Shahita White, 33 year old daughter of the Vance County Sheriff was convicted on August 25, 2008 for a March 23, 2008 suspected DWI. Ms. White had originally been charged and convicted of reckless driving.
The North Carolina State Police were asked to investigate this matter due to citizen complaints. Apparently, Ms. White had been driving on the wrong side of a divided highway when stopped by Henderson Police.
She was noticeably intoxicated with slurred speech, glazed eyes and a strong odor of alcohol. Ms. White allegedly struck a police officer who was giving her a breath test.
After a call to the Sheriff she was given a reckless driving; wonder if you or I would have done that well after felony assault on an officer?
