MADD and government agencies have a big dollar interest in keeping the Legal Drinking Age at 21.
It is consistent with their Neo-Prohibition agenda.
MADD and its government cronies insist that these laws treating 18 year old adults as wards of the state when it come to Light Beer are all about safety of our young people.
MADD and it government cronies are not willing to give the States the financial freedom to decide for themselves.
As usual Government is a disease masquerading as its own cure. Legal Age 21 encourages binge drinking, drunk driving and endangers the lives of our young people.
The advocates of going back to Legal Age 18 give some good reasons to consider letting adults be adults:
1. Legal Age 21 has forced alcohol consumption out of safe public areas and into dorm rooms, student housing and other hidden locations.
2. Legal Age 21 fosters an environment of excessive drinking and drinking to get drunk.
3. Claims that Legal Age 21 has saved more lives are not accurate.

In Harrisonburg Virginia even James Madison would get arrested for underage possession of alcohol his freshman year.

The James Madison University Freshman are back; school starts next week; and the underage possession of alcohol arrests have probably already started.
In the old days, when the drinking age was 18, beer was sold on campus.
The students had little need to travel off campus and little need to drive cars while under the influence of alcohol.
Raising the drinking age through federal mandate changed all of that.
Now alcohol is not commonly sold on campus so the students must travel to find alcohol.
You will see them in herds walking up and down
Port Road
The student, who is of age to marry, contract, make his or her own medical decisions and join the Marine Corps., is not allowed to have a light beer legally.
Underage possession for adults sounds stupid and is stupid. Let’s open the debates.
